I already knew I would meet my wife in this life, long before I met her. I knew I would encounter a soul that mine recognized instantaneously.
And so did she.
Both of us were told that this kind of love does not exist, that we should lower our standards and expectations.
I am glad we both didn’t. Instead we doubled down on believing and trusting we would find one another.
It wasn’t a knowing that said: You will meet the woman of your dreams on this date, at this time, wearing these clothes. There were no details whatsoever, apart from an inner knowing, a felt sensation, that this encounter was eventually going to happen, and to keep trusting it.
Because the universe, the greater intelligence, God, takes care of the How. But we need to take care of remaining devoted to this vision we feel inside ourselves.
I have seen too many people settle. Too many people doubt themselves in the gap between their deepest relationship vision and where they are now. Instead of becoming the version fully ready to receive, they give up and lean into limitation.
This is where destiny and free will collide. Yes you have your highest potential, but it is your job to fulfill it. No one else, and nothing else, can fulfill your potential for you.
And this is certainly easier said than done.
It is not a passive act to surrender and trust this feeling and knowing. Quite the opposite: it will require all your courage. Your courage to end something that feels perhaps good enough, but doesn’t meet you at a soul level. Your courage to end patterns of pain and unworthiness within.
You surrender to the higher knowing, and then you take courageous actions based on that knowing.
For me it was always there. Even if I lost myself in relationships for a little while before meeting my wife, eventually, the knowing became loud and clear once more. “This is not your home, do not settle here.”
The destination is the promise, but the journey is what shapes you into someone ready to receive it. Every difficult stretch, every detour, every moment of uncertainty is doing its work, forging the version of you that can truly hold what is meant for you. That is the point.
If you have been carrying this knowing, I want you to know it is real.
And with the right guidance, this path becomes significantly easier to walk.
