I have spoken to countless women who want more in their relationship.
And I have spoken to countless men who feel they are never enough in their relationship.
This is one of the greatest dynamics preventing true intimacy, true connection, and the love we all deeply desire.
Women say: I want more presence. More aliveness. More depth. More consciousness.
Men say: No matter what I do, it is never enough. Somehow, she is still not happy.
At first, this does not make sense. But when you go to the core of the issue, it makes perfect sense.
Her desire for more is not judgment. It is actually the highest compliment a man can receive. It is a sign of trust, of love, of a desire to go deeper than ever before. But often it comes out entangled with wounding, disguised as criticism.
He then feels judged. He seeks his worth in her reactions instead of sourcing it from within and stepping into his true power.
And when he gets defensive? She feels unseen, unheard, invalidated. Which awakens the generational wound of the feminine: decades of suppression, dismissal, invalidation.
And his wound of not being enough? It is the generational wound of men: the absent king/father who never said, Son, you are enough exactly as you are.
This is not a modern challenge but an intergenerational wound playing itself out through us all.
