One of the moments most dangerous to your system is when you experience deep intimacy, and when abundance starts to flow into your life.
Wait, why? Isn’t that we want?
Yes, absolutely. But most people don’t know that their nervous system might see any form of expansion as a threat, and try to return back to baseline. And by baseline I mean less vulnerability, less heart openness, less abundance, because that feels normal and “familiar.”
I share this not to make you fear expansion, but to remind you: stay mindful and connected to yourself when you feel on top of the world, and especially when you feel untouchable. That is when the ego and shadow can strike the hardest.
It happens like this: You experience deep intimacy, your heart is wide open, and right there, old patterns might get triggered and activate. Because you feel untouchable you don’t catch it right away, and fall into the abyss your system knows too well.
Or the variation could be that abundance flows into your life, and suddenly you find yourself immersed in distractions, which result in you not fully harnessing or owning the opportunity presented.
The more success attained, the higher the peak, whether spiritually, financially, professionally, the more you must remain present, grounded, humble. Most people go up into the clouds, disconnect, and from there the shadow can cause havoc because you are not rooted.
I have seen this in my own life. From experiencing the deepest intimacy to total shut down, from abundance flowing to getting lost in distractions because receiving would mean feeling my own worth and service fully.
The lesson is simple: stay connected to the ground you stand on, to the earth. Everything else is spiritual bypassing, a form of escaping into the clouds. There is nothing there for you to chase. You are here, both feet on the ground, for a reason. Trust that.
And as you do that, expansion in all areas of your life becomes the new normal, becomes your reality. There is no pulling back anymore. There is no falling into the old identity again and losing yourself.
You will experience an awareness that the old identity is trying to re-assert itself. And in the moment you can truly see it, it no longer holds any power over you.
You can see this played out in the stories of the wildly successful, whose falls are just as dramatic as their rise. Somewhere along the way, the grounding was lost. The shadow sneaked in unnoticed.
The more power you have, the more responsibility you carry. The more beauty flows into your life, the more you have to remain grounded, otherwise you cannot see and feel it, you get lost spiritually.
I ask you now to reflect: where did this show up most for you, in your heart, in your relationships, in your sense of purpose, in how you receive abundance? That is where your work is right now.
