We can do a lot of inner work. Throw ourselves into rituals, practices, read all the spiritual books.
But if we don’t shift our identity, we remain stuck.
This is why so many people are doing the work but not moving forward.
They’re not broken.
They’re not doing something wrong.
And the universe most certainly isn’t punishing them.
Here’s why the ‘stuckness’ happens:
A deeper unconscious identity rooted in survival is quietly running the show.
It shapes how we think, feel, and respond, no matter how much inner work we’re doing.
Because real transformation is not about doing more work. It is about shifting something deep within our Being, or as I like to call it – returning to our natural state.
Here are some real life examples:
- If someone longs for a relationship where they feel fully seen and deeply met, but they continue to shrink themselves, hide their truth, or try to be who they think others want them to be, they’re not actually available for that depth. The energy they’re putting out keeps attracting the same surface-level connections they’re trying to move beyond.
- If someone wants financial freedom but still clings to the belief that money is bad or that they’re not worthy of wealth, they’ll unconsciously sabotage money-making opportunities that come their way.
- If someone wants to live with purpose but avoids taking bold action because they fear being judged, their life will keep reflecting that hesitation.
Your old identity is loyal to your wounds. To your pain. To your conditioning.
That identity isn’t bad. It was built to help you survive, especially if you went through real hardship.
But here’s the truth: that old identity doesn’t know how to create the life you truly want.
You can do a three hour practice every morning, but if it’s coming from your old identity, it’s like trying to fight a sixteen hour current with a three hour paddle.
It’s not enough because the root hasn’t changed.
So rather than doing more, we need to look deeper.
What identity are we operating from?
That’s the real shift that requires our focus.
The question becomes:
Where am I coming from?
Is this coming from survival?
Or from the new vision I want to create?
That root intention is your frequency.
And your frequency shapes your reality.
This applies to:
- Relationships
- Financial abundance
- Creative expression
- Physical health
- Purpose and career
- Spiritual connection
In other words: Every part of life!
If you’re still operating from an old identity rooted in fear, survival, or scarcity, then everything you do, even the most noble practice, becomes an extension of it.
That is how powerful you are.
Where you come from energetically, determines everything.
