How Women Self-Sabotage Their Relationships with Men

How Women Self-Sabotage Their Relationships with Men

November 8, 2024 //  by Lorin Krenn

Many women wish to heal their relationship with men, yet unknowingly engage in patterns that hold them back from experiencing a conscious and fulfilling connection.

Today, I want to address one of the most common barriers: self-sabotage.

While desiring a deeply conscious relationship, self-sabotage can quietly surface in two distinct ways:

1. Choosing Men Who Are Not Fully Available
Some women may unconsciously choose partners who are not living up to their full potential, settling into relationships where their needs are not met from the beginning. This choice often serves to reaffirm a limiting belief that no man can truly meet their needs, reinforcing ideas like “men are emotionally unavailable.”

2. Pushing Men Away
Another form of self-sabotage occurs when women unknowingly create distance, often by guarding their hearts or doubting, questioning, or overly criticizing their partners. This behavior can make men retreat, which then seems to confirm the wounded story that “men are not safe” or “men cannot meet my needs.”

The First Step: Awareness
The first step is recognizing how self-sabotage shows up in your relationships with men. Then, ask yourself: How would you show up differently without these patterns? What would change? Often, this shift transforms everything within the relationship.

The Challenge: Letting Go of the Wounded Belief
It can feel challenging to release these beliefs, as the wounded story resists change. For some, having their needs fully met feels intimidating, as it means allowing a deeply held part of themselves to heal and transform. This requires a process of shadow work and surrender to embrace a healed relationship with the masculine.

This is why I created The Awakened Feminine Program.

Here is what this experience offers:

• Deep, Transformative Healing
Guided by Lorin’s unique teachings, the program dives into core wounds and conditioning, allowing you to connect to your true self with compassion. This process reaches depths that few other approaches achieve.

• Cultivate Authentic, Lasting Relationships
Learn what it means to be anchored in your feminine essence. As you embody this, your relationships transform. You begin to attract authentic, conscious connections that honor who you are, creating a foundation of profound love and understanding.

• Find Strength in Sisterhood
By joining The Awakened Feminine Program, you enter a group of women committed to rising together. You will find support, encouragement, and the safety to be fully seen and accepted, knowing you are not alone on this journey.
